The Municipal President of Cozumel, Gustavo A. Ortega Joaquín, informed this press (El Semanario), that in the Street Adolfo Rosado Solas corner with 5ª Avenue, from December 9 tests will be done to see how tourism reacts, but that this will be done only Saturdays and Sundays.

The official was very explicit to clarify that there will be given a bohemian sound to that part of the city, where the restaurants will be able to move their tables to the street, the musicians will be able to enliven the tourists that eat there or that are nearby, besides that the merchants will have the opportunity to show their promotions.

He said that the culinary offerings, they will be of great importance to promote the tourism, spend more while being present and return not so fast to the ships or to the hotels.

But he left very clear, that this will be done as a test, and that if functions would be able to remain officially established. He indicated, this intends to revive the economy of the of the zone, that the last years have punished a lot the businessmen of that course of the city, and one of the primary reasons of the restructuring, is to achieve that the tourists walk and they buy more, before they abandon the island of Cozumel.
